The Adventure Day Camp engages participants with a new outdoor adventure each day–hiking a trail to a sweet spot, snorkeling in a clear and bountiful creek, paddling the scenic flatwaters of the Cheat River, and exploring a wild cave. Through these adventures, participants get outside and enjoy all the amazing opportunities this place has to offer. This trip is for the kid who wants to spend a week outside with an emphasis on having fun.
*note: In 2025, we have transitioned from biking to snorkeling to make our program more equitable and accessible. If you are excited about biking, check out our Advanced Adventure Day Camp.
Adventure Day Camps for 9-11 year olds will run concurrent with the Wild Day Camps (ages 5-8). We hope this will offer families with children ranging from 5 to 11 years old a week full of fun and adventure.
Hours: Drop off between 8:30am-9am; Pick up at 5pm
Location: Pendleton Point Picnic Shelter at Blackwater Falls State Park. This is where we will meet for drop off and pick up. Click here for a map.
*FYI- For all the adventure seeking moms out there: Check out our Women’s Adventure Days that often coincide with these camps.
